[there's a slight tick going on near Weiss's eyebrow and she's holding her teacup in the air. Just holding it there, eyes closed, trying to ignore this prattling girl next to her. Why is she so irritating?? Just because she spent the night because her own place blew up for unknown reasons...]

Don't you ever stop talking?

[ WOW WEISS. Snappy much?

Still, Ruby's not deterred. She's in too deep. She's already attached. God save Weiss. ]

Well, yeah, sure. There's plenty of times I don't talk. Like when I'm reading, or sleeping, or, you know. [ She gestures vaguely with her hands. ]

What brought this on, anyway? Do you not like the Omegafriends? [ That'd be silly though. Everybody likes the Omegafriends. Except cops. ]

[weisscold]

[Weiss should've cut her losses when she could.]

You - [she said pointedly as she finally takes a sip of her tea] - don't talk about anything else.

[no, she's not done. Have a glare.] Other than your weapon.

Well who wouldn't talk about Crescent Rose? [ She... may be rubbing her cheek on her weapon now. ]

And 'sides, I talk about plenty of other stuff! Like.... uh....... school?

[ No, Ruby. No you don't. ]

[insert giant eyeroll here] That's the first time I've heard of it.

[once she finishes this tea, maybe she can escape...]

[ Ruby totes talks about other stuff..... /sob no she doesn't.

Still, Ruby gives Weiss a friendly look and a smile. ] Well, what do you want to talk about then, Weiss?

[she frowns as she sets her teacup back on its saucer]

Why did you help me out? [the usual "get close to the Schnees and all their riches and influence" gambit?

With anybody else, she wouldn't have bothered asking and just assumed so. But this girl...]

Because you needed help? People are supposed to help out those in need. [ Especially future heroes, like Ruby! ]

I'm sure you'd do the same. [ You're kidding yourself, Ruby. ]

[weisscold]

[she sniffs] You have got to be kidding me. That's so naive, you...really fit in with the rest of the city.

[Sigh.

...There's a pause as she takes a sip of her tea.

Quietly:] Thank you.

You... you really think I fit in here? [ Ruby sounds so happy, so relieved. Do you know how much she wants to fit in, Weiss?

Weiss, that's not an insult whatsoever to Ruby... she's a social outcast... ]

That wasn't the -

[...ugh] Altogether too well. Why aren't you running around in a mask too?

[ Oh Weiss you're the sweetest.

Ruby looks a little insecure here. ] I will, eventually. Once I'm sure I can handle it. Heroes are.... you know. [ Really good? Professional? Not fifteen? ]

[nosy? Champions of justice who probably rail against her family a lot?]

They're what? [a dime a dozen?]

...Well, probably out of high school, for one thing. [ Ruby's best friend from school is Spider-Man, she doesn't know what she's talking about. ]

That seems highly unlikely. [why is she even encouraging this...?]

[ Whaaaaaa- ] Really? You think so? [ DON'T ENCOURAGE HER WEISS SHE WILL MAKE A COSTUME RIGHT NOW ]

Considering how many idiots are out there, I'd say yes.

[ HMMMM... ] Maybe I should try my hand at the heroing thing. I mean, I did take down that giant robot crab the other day...

A giant robot crab. [that just sounds undignified]

Why on earth to would anybody make a giant robot crab?

Apparently because he was rich? And... wanted to rob a bank?

I didn't try to make sense of it.

There are much better types of robots to make. [why would you know this, Weiss?]

Building a robot does sound pretty awesome. I'm not sure what kind would be coolest, though.
