Eh. Some villains need that sort of thing. I prefer to simply be a bit more direct. Costumes and such are so... Extraneous.

I can assure you, though, my experience is far beyond what any human would call "Average."

[The woman's stepping back, one high-heeled click at a time, moving towards the door. Yang knows that the glass on that door is bulletproof... And the door itself locked. So she's got to have some plan to escape...]

Direct, huh? I'm pretty direct too.

[with a smirk, and a flare of what looked like golden fire around her, Yang surged forward, one of her gauntlets ejecting a shell as she tried to drive it into Evangeline's torso.

It seems the possibility of how Evangeline intends to escape isn't even on her mind]

[As Yang charged in, the girl suddenly shifted into a martial stance - a basic Aikido one, Yang might recognize. As the gauntlet suddenly burned with energy, though, Evangeline's first move - aiming to pull Yang's fist into an Irish Whip - immediately proved to be the wrong move. In almost mid-motion, she switched to trying to just slam Yang's hand to one side.]

Oh. Something new.

What the-?!

[she grits her teeth, and ejects a shell from her left arm, trying to go in for a really fast right jab now]

[The quick jab hits, forcing Evangeline back a few steps to avoid taking the hit full-on, nearly slamming her into the wall.]

Tch! Not bad at all.

[The woman quickly shifted into a wider stance, poised to handle Yang's approach a little more properly this time around.]

[Yang didn't go in for a punch this time, but she did throw one... namely, this time, they came in the form of an explosive burst launched from her fist straight at Evangeline]

[As Yang launched the burst, she could spot Evangeline doing... Something... As a strange - no, obviously magical - barrier appeared between the two, dispersing the blast.]

Not bad at all, making me pull that out.

[Yang stopped for a moment, staring... and launched herself forward again, bringing her fists together. Several shells ejected as golden fire erupted around her again, and she began to savagely beat at the barrier with even more power and intensity than before]

[One, two, three, four, five, six strikes... The barrier was starting to shake.

Then, right as Yang went in for a seventh swing, her actual opponent ducked low as the barrier suddenly disappeared, hoping to trick Yang into overextending so Evangeline could get a direct strike in - which she immediately tried for with one hand.

... Not that Evangeline wanted to admit it, but Yang actually had come fairly close to overloading that barrier. Those gauntlets weren't some ordinary gun, it seemed. Or was it just the wielder's power?

She'd have to look into that. When NOT fighting her.]

[the trick paid off. The barrier dropped, and Yang swung in, leaving herself open as Evangeline ducked low...

... and the blow connected, throwing Yang back violently. She flew back, hitting a nearby wall, stunned for the moment]

"Hrm. Not bad at all," Evangeline declared, as she placed one hand against the glass behind her... Causing it to shatter, thanks to a bit of magic run through it.

"Keep in practice. Learn to anticipate tricks that depend on you overextending, and how to compensate for them. Maybe next time..."

"Ugh..."

Yang growled as she pushed herself up. "Don't you dare think you're getting away..."

"Let's take this outside," Evangeline responded, hopping out. "If you've got enough to chase me, maybe I'll even drop the cash."

"... Oh, you did not just challenge me to a race..."

After cocking her gauntlets and releasing another pair of shells, she... aimed her arms behind her and fired off another burst of force, launching herself forward and rocketing at Evangeline.

"Perhaps I-"

And then the girl, to Evangeline's game-modified perceptions, basically rocket-jumped at the vampiress.

"Wait, did you just-"

Quickly, Evangeline dove out the window, diving beneath it in hopes Yang would either trip on the pane or just launch right over her.

Yang did sail over her. In fact, she went flying all the way across the street, to the side of another building. Except, rather than slam into it, she twisted in mid-air, aimed behind her, and performed the exact same move as before, albeit with a burst of force that cracked said building's wall.

She came hurtling at Evangeline again, this time ejecting another shell and preparing a flaming punch.

Evangeline figured Yang would jump back. She did not, however, expect the girl to launch back so fast.

"Hrm. Actually metahuman, or just well-trained, I wonder?", she observed aloud while quickly tossing up a small barrier to reduce the force of Yang's punch - though some of the flames slipped right around it and into her, as her fist moved in a quick strike aimed at Yang's solar plexus.

Yang let out a cry of pain; in a way, she was kind of asking for this due to her midriff being exposed, but she wasn't about to take this laying down. Falling back a bit as they both fell, she aimed downward and fired more fiery bursts down at Evangeline.

Evangeline, rather than moving to keep striking, responded by quickly rolling away, taking a few more bursts in the process before hopping to her feet... And well into the air.

"Well, come on then."

Yang finally landed, her impact causing the ground to crack. She growls, and stands... just as a loose strand of her hair flutters down in front of her.

Yang stares at it.

Then... then her expression goes from angry to outright dark. What follows is a scream, and Yang shrieked in anger, her golden fire more or less igniting around her like a roaring blaze.

It's more than a bit terrifying.

Yang's sudden burst of energy drew some clear attention from Evangeline, as she calmly readied her stance.

Wait, why was she suddenly so...

In the next moment, Yang was coming at her harder and faster than she had before. Her fists blazed with golden fire, and even if they missed, the blaze radiating off her would still be a problem.

"How could you do that?!"

Truthfully, it hadn't been Evangeline, but rather, gravity and wind, but...

"How could I do what?!"

It seemed that Evangeline hadn't even noticed the flying hair... Especially with her attention now focused on blocking Yang's faster fists, clearly grunting with each block.

"What kind of-"

And then, finally, Yang got a clean hit right to Evangeline's stomach... Only for the strike to go right through.

Evangeline had apparently split into a large number of bats.

Yang grinned in satisfaction as the blow connected... or so it seemed. And that caused her to twitch in anger.

And, well...

Flare up.

With a roar, her golden fire burst up around her, close enough to more than threaten the bats.

As the fire rose, the bats spread and shifted to get away from Yang, suddenly moving up towards a nearby rooftop. Almost as if they - and, presumably, the one whose form they took - were afraid of Yang by now...
