Mabel was adorable in a way she had hard time staying mad at. Or anything else that mean. She took a deep breath. She reaches up and pushes her hand through her blonde hair. She was just buying time more or less before responding. She had some mean response in store for Mabel, but she couldn't bring herself to say it. "I'm usually fine without friends, but... You know, you're adorable. What do you want to do?" She had no idea why she had just agreed to see about being friends.

"Great!" Mabel beams brightly, more than pleased that she had managed to make a new friend. At Samus's next question, she stops, a thoughtful expression coming onto her features. What should they do...? She snaps her fingers in realisation, turning towards the direction of the park. "How about the park? That should be fun, yeah?"

[bigshoulder_lady]

She takes a few moments before responding. She shakes her head in response at the suggestion. "I spend most of my time in nature. Some of it a lot more impressive than the park." She might not be trying to seem mean, but she seemed rather snippy about her response.

[kittenfists]

"Hmm, okay..." Mabel can somewhat relate to that aspect; back at the place she was before she came to Venture City, she spent an inordinate amount in nature as well. Personally, the idea didn't bother her much, but if Samus didn't wish to, she would just have to think of an alternative. "Well, you wanna go get a bite to eat?"

She gave a little thought on the idea. "Well! Sure. I'm a little hungry and I don't really know the city that well." She adjusted her gesture to seem more cool and comfortable. She sighed some. "I'm new to the city."

[kittenfists]

"Mm," she hummed, "yeah, it can take some getting used to. Don't worry, I'll show you some of the best food joints there are!" With that announcement, Mabel began to march down the street, swinging her arms as she did so. Every now and then, she'd glance behind her shoulder to make sure that Samus was still following.
