The crown had an endless list of downsides, but the internal cold spikes were some of the worst. Every now and then it would well up within him and make his insides feel like they'd been dunked in ice water. He guessed that his body was still trying to reject the changes.

He enters the cafe cautiously and takes an empty seat away from the other patrons. His clothes don't make him look too different from the rest of the hipster crowd, though the Crown tied to his belt is an interesting accessory. Despite the comfortable warmth of the room, he rubs his hands and arms, shaking off the crackle of frost on his skin.

One thing the kid knew that his white hair always made him stand out. Seeing some other fellow, even an older one, with white hair got his attention first. The fact he was freezing second. The kid's heart went out to him. he came over personally from the bar with a mug of warm squirt cider and some fruity, Hearty Punch.

"Have a brush in with an ice villain or just work in a freezer?"

The kid wasn't sure what to make of him, but figured a few questions couldn't hurt.

"A little bit of both." he laughs.

Simon reaches out to take the mug, but pauses as he gets a good look at the Kid. White hair on someone so young was interesting, yes, but there was something else. A stream of ashes surrounded the boy, seeming to emanate from behind him.

Simon shook his head, but the vision remained. Awfully persistent for a hallucination. He could nearly smell the dusty cinders.

He takes a long swig of the cider, sighing in relief as the warmth spreads through his body. A hiss of steam escapes his teeth.

"Thank you."

The Kid watches Simon for a few. The kid aught of just left well enough alone but he was never one to leave alone. He took a seat to talk to the frost man to nod over to him.

"You are welcome. My name's Sebastian, I own this place. Curious what brought you in."

This place looked new and expensive. Kid's Cael fragments had been rather good sale, but did look odd for a 20 something kid with a real expensive place.

Squirt cider was quite fruity in taste, but had a musky aftertaste. Though it was always good for your health.

The flavor doesn't matter so much as the temperature. He opens and closes his free hand as the feeling comes back to it.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Sebastian. My name is Simon."

He glances down at the crown at his hip, sighing.

"I know it's an odd trinket, but I can't seem to part with it for long. It's..."

He pauses and runs his hand along the central gem. "..Very, very important."

He sounds resigned and melancholy about it. Whatever the connection is, it's not great.
