It’ll take two buddy cops Omegafriends from different backgrounds working together to follow the trail of clues - can you put up with each other long enough to figure out her villainous plan?

Okay this is about the worst possible scenario.

"Er. Well I was passing by you see, and I saw the building was on fire anyways, so I figured 'might as well do some good!' right?"

Helen sounds incredulous to say the least. "Oh, right. You just happened to be driving in the opposite direction from the-"

She is interrupted by the very loud sound of a beam cracking, and it occurs to her that a flaming building is not the best place for an argument for her husband.

"We're not done talking about this, Bob. The exit's that way." She indicates the direction with a nod of her head as she hefts the rescued child in her arms.

Hooo boy, this is gonna be bad. For the moment, though, needs must.

"Okay stay close behind me!"

With a yell, Bob charged the direction Helen had pointed. Mere drywall and 2x4s could not stop him, and so several seconds later found them all back out on the street.

Helen follows right behind, while using her elastic properties to shield the child from the flames. As they exit into the cool air, the child starts to cry, and she gently rocks him.

"Oh, don't you fret now. It's all going to be okay."

The child chokes out words between sobs. "But my-my-my momma was on the top floor!"

As if on cue, the sound of breaking glass and a woman's scream come from the uppermost window, as flames lick up towards it.

Bob mentally heaved a sigh and rolled his eyes at the series of cliches that your life turned into when you were a super hero. He muttered "Of course." under his breath before straightening up.

"Don't worry. We'll get her out!"

He stared up at the window, pondering how to get up there.

"He- uh...Elastigirl, I think this might be more up your alley."

Helen looks up at the building, then over at the firefighters struggling to get ready in time, and a determined look crosses her face.

"Right."

She looks back to Bob.

"I need you to throw me."

"The good ol' fastball special, eh? Alright get ready!"

He grabbed her around the waist, leaned back, carefully judged the angle, and hurled his wife into the sky like a javelin with a shouted "ha HA!"

With some annoyance, Helen thinks he is enjoying this life-or-death situation way too much, but before she can protest, she is flying through the air. His aim is dead-on, and she sails in through the window.

A moment later, she appears back at the window with the unconscious woman in her arms, and slowly lowers her to the ground by stretching her arms. "Take her! Get her away from the building!"

Bob caught her easily and backed away, putting the unconscious lady with the other victims from the building. Then his brain caught up with his reflexes and he stared back up, "Helen!? Get out of there!"

"I'm coming!"

Helen jumps out, intending to stretch herself into a parachute, when an explosion erupts from the window. She is hit by the force of it in mid air and is knocked unconscious.

Her limp form starts to free fall to the ground.

"NO!"

Bob dives and catches her before she hits the sidewalk.

Helen wakes up groggily in his arms. "You're... still in trouble, mister." She gives him a kiss on the cheek, then closes her eyes and sighs.

Well. Tonight's fun sure is over. Bob got her home and tried to figure out what SHE was doing in the burning building.
