[When even the most tryhard of villains thinks you're being underwhelming, that's just kind of sad, Shooter.

It is, in fact, so bad that Westar pauses his heist right then and there. Even his Nakewameke has stopped and is looking at her like it's... pitying her? Huh, Nakewamekes can feel pity. Who knew? Anyway, Westar jumps down from his streetlight vantage point and looks her in the eye.]

You can't call that an entrance! I... I refuse to fight after that! [Because if he loses now he'll be a laughingstock forever.] Try again!

[ oh god this is just embarrassing for everyone involved

Shooter blinks at him, looking taken aback by the request -- but then she hastily clears her throat, and whips her sword out before pointing it at him, doing her best to look cool and heroic.

It's... working, right? ]

Uh, okay so-- Stop where you are! I, Black Rock Shooter, won't allow you to get away with this!

[Well, that's... that's better, but it's still not there. So Westar is still looking very unimpressed.]

No, no! Geez, how new are you at this?

Look, you have to put some feeling into it! Otherwise I can't take you seriously.

[ she looks rather chastised, like a child being scolded by their teacher. Is she seriously getting lectured on how to make a proper entrance by a bad guy?

It bears repeating; this is just embarrassing for everybody involved.

But he does have a point. So Shooter takes a deep breath, filling her lungs --

and then jabs her sword in his direction and bellows. ]

STOP RIGHT THERE! I, BLACK ROCK SHOOTER, WON'T ALLOW YOU TO GET AWAY WITH THIS!

Ha, yes! That's it, that's excellent! See, that wasn't so hard, was it?

[He's so excited and proud that, for a moment, he forgets that they're supposed to be enemies.]

This way, you won't embarrass both yourself and your opponent. Remember, a good entrance sets the tone of the entire encounter!

[ HOW CAN SHE BE MAD WHEN SHE RECEIVES SUCH ENTHUSIASTIC PRAISE

She beams at him rather proudly, looking embarrassed to have yelled like that but pleased. ]

I'll keep that in mind! I'll write up an even better introduction for myself -- one that makes me sound even cooler!

[ guess who has also forgotten they're supposed to be fighting right now ]

That's not a bad idea! Ah, maybe I should do that myself too? I usually just improvise.

[Fight? What fight? There's more important things to worry about.

Meanwhile, Westar's Nakewameke is looking incredibly unsure about all this. Uh, wasn't he supposed to be destroying something? Wreaking havoc? No?]

But the, the most important part is putting feeling into it! Anything can sound impressive so long as you're confident enough!

[ hush, Nakewameke, the losers are talking. ]

That's right! I mean -- how are you supposed to take someone seriously if they're not taking themselves seriously?

Maybe next time I shouldn't say anything and just try a battle cry like-- KIYAAAAAAAH!

[ she even mimes a punch as she bellows it. So embarrassing. ]
