[Well... that's a unique appearance.

Blake Belladonna, aka Nightshade has been sticking to the shadows for the better part of the Deviobot invasion, darting out of the shadows here and there to strike a blow where she was needed and vanish again. Now, she's spent the last little while watching this Pumpkin King character dash and weave his way through the 'bots.]

[He's good, but... yeah. She can already tell his flashy stunts are going to end with him backed into a corner pretty quick. Time to step in. Blake doesn't do showboating, so there's nothing to mark her entrance into the skirmish other than a dark shape dropping from above and the flash of her two blades as they take the heads of a pair of robots and then the dark-haired girl is crouched at his back, cat ears flickering alertly.]

Need some backup?

[Okay, backup. Backup is nice. Jack grins somewhere under the pumpkin mask and vaults over one of the downed 'bots, twirling and plunging his sword through another's eye.]

It'd certainly be appreciated!

[He doesn't need it, but it's always nice to have some company, especially someone like Nightshade. Some very nice costume decisions going on there.]

Right.

[She might actually appreciate his opinion of her costume, but no time to dwell on superhero fashion choices now. More of those Deviobots are trying to get the drop on her and she sighs as she glances over her shoulder.]

Robots again....

[One of the marauding mechanoids raises a fist and brings it down to smash the crouching ninja flat! Or at least that's what it seems until the illusory duplicate she'd left in her place flickers out like a puff of smoke. In a burst of speed, she jumps back, taking the attacking robots legs out to bring it down to size before stabbing the thin blade into a sensitive circuit cluster in the back of its neck.

With that bot disabled, she has plenty of time to avoid the sweeping grab of another. Switching Gambol Shroud over to its pistol mode, she fires a few shots to buy her the few seconds she needs to get some distance from her enemies.]

[Guns? Wow, there are guns at play here, alright. He actually stops a second to watch her work, appreciating the form and technique behind every motion. Then he swings back into action, narrowly dodging a laser blast that slices right through a more fragile robot behind him.]

They seem to be very popular.

[Really, it's kind of hard to not notice. Villains just love robots. Honestly, it wouldn't kill them to be a tad more creative. Sweeping a top-heavy 'bot's legs out from under it and clambering atop that mountainous metallic mass, he can't help but notice his partner's got herself into a bit of a jam. That just won't do.]

On your left!

[That's about all the warning he gives before rearing back and disgorging a fiery fountain from the pumpkin's mouth, melting a whole cluster of Deviobots where they stand.]

[As effective as superpowers can be, sometimes it's hard to argue with the effectiveness of a simple firearm. Especially when that gun transforms into a sword and back.]

They're getting a little tiresome.

[But no need to get into her history with robots, especially guard robots. At Jack's warning, she doesn't even waste the time to look and just leaves a trail of shadowy images in her wake as she blurs to the right and turns to defend herself.

That sudden blast of heat is more than a little surprising. Instinctively, she raises her arms against it and by the time she lowers them again the Deviobots are already a bubbling puddle of metal slag. For a moment, she stands there blinking at the sight before her. Even the rest of the Deviobots on the street seem to be hesitating after that one.]

... Huh.

[Okay... she's impressed.]
