[In this part of the city, a lone hero is facing a very large number of Deviobots. He's wearing a red powered armor, and wielding a shield and a beam saber blade extending from his wrist. Attached to his hip is a rifle of some sort.]

Hey! I could use a hand over here!

[The Red Knight knows that he can't fight them alone for much longer -- if he does, his armor is almost certain to run out of power. Therefore, he's willing to take whatever help he can get.]

[You're all relaxing at the base. Athrun walks in, clearly having just returned from a superhero action. Rather than strike up a conversation, though, he pulls out his laptop and begins to do things on it. You're free to try to peep over his shoulder, or...

...he realizes he needs to be polite for a little while and shuts the laptop.]

Hi. Long day?

Then how 'bout we even the odds?

[ A voice sounds from nearby.Sonic swoops in under the legs of the unsuspecting robots and swiftly comes to a stop by his new comrades side. Nothing like a dramatic entrance just in the nick of time! ]

Lucky for you, I've made a career outta smashing bots like this.

[ He nods over his shoulder. ] C'mon! First to smash ten robots wins!

[Athrun watches as the cavalry arrives. Well, that was certainly an efficient way to deal with them. He hadn't seen anyone with that kind of speed before, though.]

Well, I suppose I can't say no to a little competition. I'll have to pick up the pace, in that case!

[He deactivates his beam saber and grabs his beam rifle.]

I can destroy more faster with this!

[quickster]

[ He gives a thumbs up. ] Nice duds. Now that you're dress for the party, let's have some fun.

[ The hedgehog spindashes off in a quick blue of blue. These robots didn't stand a chance! ]

Dressed? I've been wearing this the entire time!

[Meanwhile, Athrun starts shooting. He takes out two robots with two shots -- each shot hitting them in weak points.]

What was that? [ He ricochets off of one robot on to others nearby. ] Can't hear you over the sound of me kickin' your tail!

In that case, I'll just focus harder!

[True to his word, Athrun falls silent as he continues shooting robots with pinpoint accuracy.]

[She drawls, tilting her head back on the couch, her boots on the table]

had some fella usin' his emu-controllin' powers to try to rob a gas station, you?

...Emu controlling.

[Sorry, Virgil. Athrun is in a state of complete disbelief at such a ridiculous-sounding power.]

I guess that's what it was - why else would some fella steal an emu and use it to rob places.

[She shrugs]

Takes all kinds in this city.

Indeed, but it still seems like a bizarrely niche power. At least now they're behind bars.

[Beat.]

They are, right?

[untamed_lawman]

The bird or the man?

[She questioned with a completely straight face]

[Facepalm.]

Take a wild guess.

[untamed_lawman]

[She bursts out laughing]

Kid, ya need to learn what's a joke.

[She kicks off the table and leans forward, the tips of her ears twitched in amusement]

Both are behind bars where they belong.

That, at least, is good. You never know sometimes with some people.
