Y-you were the one who was talking.

[ Oh god what if she actually gets up that would be so scary. ALL HE WANTED TO DO WAS SIT IN THE BREAK ROOM. AND RESPIRATE. ]
fromthesamecloth: (Okay maybe some of the sass)

Yeah, and it was a private conversation. Don't ask.

This is why I suggested going home, Ryuko.

Later, okay? Jeez!
getoutofmylab: Space. I am from space. (where are you from?)

[ The thing about supers in general is that if they weren't demonstrably real in their powers they would be demonstrably insane in their brainmeats. Being very firmly situated in a boat of similar make, it's not like he's going to judge her for talking to someone whose voice clearly can't be heard from anywhere but her own head.

But she said, "Don't ask."

So now of course there are a million questions. Who is she talking to? Ghosts? Psychics? OTHER ALIENS? Her clothes? Do they want to be ironed? Science must know! ]

But... [ He stares at her. ] ... I can't just not ask now.
fromthesamecloth: (Sigh...)

[Okay, it can't cut into her sleep THAT much. She did kind of start it, anyway. She's tired and cranky, but that's no reason to go around starting pointless fights. She jabs a tired thumb at her shirt.]

This is Senketsu. He's bonded to me, so only I can hear him. Ever heard of Life Fibers?

[ Honestly, he hadn't been expecting her to actually answer - they had both been completely obnoxious throughout this entire interaction, and it had seemed as though the best possible ending to it would be one where neither of them had resorted to violence. In other words, this was better than the best possible case. Later, Sherrinford would probably reason out that there was a 63% chance that Ryuko had a high discrepancy between her outward and inward personalities and thus was significantly less predictable than the average human. (There would also be room for a 30% chance that Sherrinford was simply too charming and adorable to stay mad at.)

He taps the syringe lightly against his chin, apparently forgetting that it's a syringe and not a pen. ]

I have not. However, if you told me to guess what they were based on current information, I would suppose that they are fibers that are somehow alive and experience a telepathic connection with the mind of any sentient being that comes into direct physical contact with them.

[ He tilts his head to one side quizzically. ]

Is that even close?
