[Dr. Nefarious' butler robot has stepped into the scene, casually clearing away Deviobot debris with a broom and dustpan. Beyond stealing enemy secrets and design schematics, it's really not in anyone's way.]

Carry on, don't mind me. Just sweeping up and all that.

What, is your boss getting desperate? I wouldn't call this thing the competition's greatest success story.

[There's something to be said for capturing him for... interrogation or something, probably, but she's used to letting her enemies' harmless(?) underlings off easy. They're still wrapping up with Devious, anyway.]

The doctor calls it recycling. Old design ideas that didn't work are recycled into new designs that don't work.

[Even Lawrence doesn't think that highly of the villains out there, and he regularly works with them.]

Oh. Speaking of failures... I think they're here for you.

[And suddenly, several mid-sized Deviobots pop up, shooting barrages of lasers at Ryuko. Lawrence is going about his job because, well, that's what he's paid to do.]

[Ryuko throws her arms up in front of her exposed face, letting her outfit deflect the beams.]

Ngh! You're not on their side, why aren't they shooting at you?

[Don't answer that, or at least not right off. She's not gonna hear you while she charges the stragglers and loudly hacks them to pieces, anyway.]
