Wha- hey!!

[ Bowser's basically built like a shelled, muscled tank, and he's about as fast- but he's not agile enough to deal with a tiny girl avoiding his attacks with gymnastics, of all things. He turns around halfway, trying to keep up with Evangeline. ]

Stop that! You're not allowed to dodge, you darn dirty ape!!

[ He lashes out with a backhand this time, trying to knock her flying or shred her to pieces or even just clip her (he's not particularly picky). ]

Oh, please. You don't think a girl like me got as far as I have on tanking blows from brutes like-

[On the bright side, the backhand hit! On the not-so-bright side, the girl split into a swarm of bats, which flew a ways away and reformed.]

Not bad.

[ He ALMOST begins gloating when he feels his fist connect, but that quickly fades because- what. What. Bowser actually looks offended by Evangeline's amazing dodge, and he's pointing that accusatory claw at her again. ]

Oh, come on, that is so totally cheating! What the heck did you do, rig the superpowers lottery or something? How's anyone supposed to hit you when you can turn into a trillion smelly rodents!?

Oh, do shut up. I haven't developed my powers since the time William Shakespeare was alive for nothing, you know.

Don't make it sound so grandiose! I don't know who this spear-shaker is, but YOU can't have been around for more than eight years!

[ He's an invader from another dimension, he's not so good with history or culture- not that he was back home, either, but still. ]

Gwahaha, you got that right! Posh culture's for pansies who sit around and drink tea all day. I'm a mover AND a shaker!

[ Well, he can't deny that he's a newcomer, so Bowser crosses his arms and inclines his head. ]

Yeah, you're looking at the most promising up-and-coming overlord in the history of overlords. So just this once, I'll forgive you for not having recognized the Koopa King!

Seven out of ten on the dramatic monologue. Minus two for the quality of minions, though.

[ ... yes, in Bowser's mind, points for style is marginally more important than the fact that they were just trying to murder each other a second ago. ]

It's called 'poetry'. The greatest villain rants are like a poem of power.

That's one reason I don't bother with them.

If you don't do any villainous rants, then why do you even bother trying to be a villain? What, do poems make you break out into hives or something?

[ Bowser's minions glance around nervously as sirens begin blaring in the distance, although the big guy himself doesn't seem fazed. ]

Bah, I don't have time for this! I'm just gonna loot this place for all it's worth before it starts swarming with Omegadweebs.

Why bother? Villainy can be many forms of style, and I've found that no one bothers remembering your monologuing.
