[Skeletor could not have asked for better timing for Devious' little invasion. As the battle against the Deviobots rages in the streets the Lord of Destruction watches from the roof of one of Venture City's skyscrapers. Behind him, Tri-Klops and Trapjaw are working quickly to attach a device to one of the antennae.]
Tri-Klops, is the device ready yet?
Almost, Skeletor. Just a few more minutes
Excellent. [He steps to the edge of the building, looking down on the city.] I must remember to thank Dr. Devious. With those fools occupied by her robots, they're far too busy to stop me from successfully completing the Seismic Control Device. And once it's in place, there will be nothing to stop me from laying waste to this city and ridding myself of those wretched "heroes" forever!
[Villainous laugh time? Villainous laugh time.]

[How did she get up here? Chalk it up to minion incompetence, I guess!]

His eye sockets glow red in frustration for a moment before he settles down and chuckles.]
So it would seem. However, [as he speaks, a couple of those monstrous minions set up. Clawful and Whiplash, his big, dumb muscle] you'll soon find that you've made a much bigger mistake coming here alone.
[He points toward the two up on the antenna.] You two, complete the work on the device. The rest of you, destroy her!
no subject
Where do you even get these guys? Bob's Discount Minion Shack?
[For all her banter, though, she has to admit that Skeletor has a point - five on one isn't good odds, even for Ms. Marvel.]
no subject
Joke while you can, hero. I promise you, you won't have much to laugh about for very long.

Mako's coat billows against the air dramatically. She adjusts her cap with her free hand, looking out from under the brim.]
Hey, it's not fair to gang up on people, you know!

Skeletor, meanwhile, is getting more frustrated. Where do these blasted Omegafriends keep coming from?!]
How touching. In that case, you will meet your doom together as well! [And he hefts the Havoc Staff, light gathering in the eyes of the ram's head, and unleashes a powerful blast of pure destructive force at the two Supers.]
no subject
You're alright so far, right?
[Hey, she has to check up on her comrade first, okay?]
no subject
The important thing is stopping that device before it starts up!

You're not Grim.

Moonlight, you shouldn't be reckless! Blossom can-
[Moonlight's eyes snap to the creature, her fairy partner - Cologne. She doesn't slow down.]
No. This is far too dangerous. Ts- ... Cure Blossom is still too inexperienced! She can't handle something like this!
[Or to be more precise, she's worried of putting her out there against something like this. Against someone this dangerous. That girl... She's far too innocent still, and Moonlight can't simply volunteer her like that. She chose to help her, to protect her - not put her in harm's way. Not like this.
Cologne just gives her a look and she knows he understands precisely what she means.]
Then someone else! The Ome-
As a Precure, this is my responsibility, no one else's! Besides... we're already here.
[Without further ado she takes a running leap up to a far taller skypscraper. There lies a flickering portal - how on Earth he managed to open something like that up to there, she couldn't fathom. But the "how" doesn't matter for now. For now, she has to stop him.]
no subject
[Skeletor stands atop that skyscraper, crowing in triumph as he watches the portal take shape. It's not quite done yet, still lacking the power to actually transport anything through but that changes with every second. Every moment that ticks by brings his goal within reach.]
At long last, after so many years, so much planning, the Palace and all the power within will finally be mine!
[His laughter echoes across the rooftop, above the hum of the machinery that had been built into it. Dozens of crystals built into various mechanisms glow brightly as they funnel energy into the building's antenna, energy that is being used to fuel the portal. All around, the Evil Warriors stand ready to swarm the Palace the moment the pathway is clear, monstrous forms braced for the invasion.
And above them all stands Skeletor himself, the Lord of Destruction, an inky black stain against the shining palace taking form behind him.]
no subject
Skeletor! That's quite far enough! [She whips out a hand, pointing towards him.] That place has stood for generations against evil just like you, and it will not but sullied by your hands so long as I'm standing here!
[She sounds confident.
Normally, she'd feel confident.
Still...
That was a lot of guys.]
no subject
The blasts rain down over the rooftop until they reach Skeletor himself, who doesn't move a muscle. Explosions detonate around him, obscuring him behind smoke and dust until a gust of wind clears it...
and reveals him standing exactly where he is, not even singed. Without even acknowledging the rain of energy he turns toward her.]
Brave words, indeed. However, I think you'll find that to be a situation that is easily rectified.
[He raises a hand to point to Cure Moonlight and the Evil Warriors spring into action. Clawful and Whiplash lead the charge as the biggest of the brute muscle, while Trapjaw and Tri-Klops hang back, firing their own energy blasts at her.]
no subject
[Moonlight manages to smile, looking as genuine as possible.]
You don't need to worry about me, Cologne. After all... I'm not going to lose to anyone, especially not here and now!
[She thrusts her hands out, noticing the blasts coming in for her.]
Moonlight Reflection!
[Barriers of light appear before her palms, which she then just shoots off, intercepting Trapjaw and Tri-Klops' blasts. Even as explosions erupt against the barriers, Moonlight herself is dashing off at speed. She's a blur of silver and purple until she's stopped only by both fists being sent out to slam into the oncoming Evil Warriors' chests.]
no subject
Clawful and Whiplash don't have any more luck. The crashes from the impacts ring out as Moonlight forces them back. Just by a few steps, but it's enough to give her a clear run toward her real target, who's still standing up at the portal watching her fight.]
no subject
She leaps across the distance for Skeletor, one hand balling into a fist as her arm cocks back, preparing to smash it into him with all her might.]
no subject
Skeletor sighs.]
It's so hard to find good help these days.
[Ah, but here she comes. As Moonlight leaps across the gap, Skeletor moves as well. His own leap carries him high up into the air, above the lone Precure. His cloak billows out like the wings of some terrible bird of prey and he unleashes a blast from his staff straight down at her. One that utterly dwarfs the combined strength of the two she'd deflected moments earlier.]

[Or maybe not, considering who's just showed landed on the rooftop, arms folded. How did he find out, you might ask? He could hear Skeletor monologuing from thirty blocks away, one of the benefits of super-hearing.]
Tell your men to step away from the device and surrender, Skeletor. Nobody needs to get hurt here.
Just can't go anywhere without some OP musclehead ruining his day. Jeez
Surrender? [He chuckles.] I... think not.
[Still, there is a time for a monologue and this isn't it. Eyes lighting up with angry red light, he brings the Havoc Staff forward and unleashes a blast of raw, destructive magic at the Kryptonian.]
Perhaps a sign he's in the wrong line of work?
Ridiculous!
Skeletor's blast goes wild, firing off harmlessly over the city and as Superman hurtles at him like a rocket, the Havoc Staff lights up again. Thrusting the weapon forward, there's another explosion of magic, intercepting Superman's charge.]
Just saying.
[The blast forces him to change course, but leaves another opening. He hooks right, the bolt of magic screaming through the air where Clark was a second ago. His eyes light up, glowing bright red for an instant before letting loose twin beams of heat vision at Skeletor.]
Silence, fool!
[Another shot gone wild, Skeletor tries to bring the Havoc Staff to bear on his enemy again, but he's not quite quick enough. The heat vision strikes its target and in a flash, Skeletor's cape is aflame and he's pretty distracted as he stumbles back a few steps and make a futile effort to pat the fire out.]
