What was that? [ He ricochets off of one robot on to others nearby. ] Can't hear you over the sound of me kickin' your tail!

Well who wouldn't talk about Crescent Rose? [ She... may be rubbing her cheek on her weapon now. ]

And 'sides, I talk about plenty of other stuff! Like.... uh....... school?

[ No, Ruby. No you don't. ]

[insert giant eyeroll here] That's the first time I've heard of it.

[once she finishes this tea, maybe she can escape...]

[ Ruby totes talks about other stuff..... /sob no she doesn't.

Still, Ruby gives Weiss a friendly look and a smile. ] Well, what do you want to talk about then, Weiss?

[she frowns as she sets her teacup back on its saucer]

Why did you help me out? [the usual "get close to the Schnees and all their riches and influence" gambit?

With anybody else, she wouldn't have bothered asking and just assumed so. But this girl...]

Because you needed help? People are supposed to help out those in need. [ Especially future heroes, like Ruby! ]

I'm sure you'd do the same. [ You're kidding yourself, Ruby. ]

[As Rozalin pulled the phone out, the ten-year-old looking girl suddenly lept into motion. Depending on how quick Rozalin's senses were, Evangeline may have grabbed the phone in mid-pull, stopping behind the taller lady with her phone in hand.]

Oh, do treat the police with respect. They're in the middle of dealing with a robot army down there, they don't need another call in the same area right now. You'd just be wasting the poor dispatcher's time.

[Rozalin fumes-impotent as she may be, she still has her pride.]

You give that back! Either throw me out or blackmail me or do something other than stand around and smug at me or I will ignore you.

... Now why would I throw you out of your own house? I'm evil, not mean for the sake of being mean.

Blackmail, though... Eh, I'm sure I could find something if I wanted to. But really, what would be the point?

Why would I want to bother blackmailing you?

Then I have no reason to bother with you, do I?

[Rozalin picks up a book on...Barnacles of all things, judging by the spine, and sits down to read. A decapitated robot flies through the open balcony door a few seconds later and crashes through into the wall before catching on fire.

Rozalin, perhaps unwisely, ignores that as well. A Roomba-like cleaning robot scurries out of it's docking station to sweep up the tiny broken bits of metal.]

[ If he doesn't want to talk, that's fine. The man goes from staring directly at the phone booth, to concentrating on his sketchpad. But it looked like he had no intention of leaving his spot. So good luck with that. ]

Oh, no need to pose for it. I got everything I need.

[ Considering he was dressed like a harajuku reject, he was still quite charming wasn't he? The man was concentrating on getting the base drawing done. But if she looked carefully, it was actually a pretty good drawing of her coming out from inside the phone booth.

Also, the newspaper cranes are now floating around her head. ]

Oh yes. Heavens forbid that.

I'm...

[Wait, she should use her Completely Original superhero name.]

Lady Mabelton! But you can call me Lady Mabes!

[PLEASE STOP, CROACH... It's not like her brother is here to decipher your alien language either.]

...Don't you have, like, a spaceship or something? Why don't you just fly back?

Exactly! So, I don't forgive anyone who messes with my brother! Only I'm allowed to mess with him.

[camcorders]

[She giggles a hand to her mouth.]

It sounds like you get along quite well!

[kittenfists]

[She snorts, shrugging.]

Pfft. Yeah, well, we've been together ever since we were toddlers-- no, even younger than that! We've been together before we even existed!

[...Mabel, WHAT are you even talking about.]

Well, no. Other than the spell I cast on you before I set foot on the patio.

[rose_liberated]

[Rozalin pauses mid page-turn. But no. She won't do that. She wouldn't give this little invader the satisfaction.

Not even the satisfaction of acknowledgement.]

In that case, I'll just focus harder!

[True to his word, Athrun falls silent as he continues shooting robots with pinpoint accuracy.]

[Oh, good, someone who played at keeping formality.]

Oh, the fun that'll be had when it goes off. Perhaps I should politely warn you: Don't let anyone touch your poor, exposed shoulder.

[One step back. Test for reaction.]

[rose_liberated]

[The twitch is mighty. The spasm in her back muscles is less noticeable, but still present.

And yet, somehow, Rozalin holds her temper in.]

W-wait for me—! [Bicycle! Is there a bicycle nearby??]
