However, no matter the threat, it’s up to you, the Omegafriends, to save the day - but you’ll need to work together to repel the forces of evil.

2. A Hero is Born! What started as an ordinary day was thrown into chaos as your newfound superpowers began to suddenly awaken! What perilous problems and zany antics will this bring about? Stay tuned to find out!

He gestured to himself and said jokingly, "Must've left it in my other suit."

Having no pockets kind of sucked. And it wasn't like he could stealthily wear a utility belt.

Then he paused, turning pink as a thought occurred to him.

"Wait, are you giving me your number?"

This kind of thing never ever happened to Ben Tennyson.

She never though Ben would think that she was romantically interested in him, but the blush confirms it. It's sweet actually. In normal life people don't think of Gwen Tennyson as an approachable girl; Lucky Girl on the other hand wasn't the type to go asking guys out. There was a whole world of other more important things then boys out there. Still, Gwen thought it would be nice to get asked out at least once. Especially since her only romantic encounter was a boy that barely paid attention to her because he was her cousin's best friend.

"It's, it's not like that." She amends, trying not to stutter over the words. "Maybe we should try this again ..." She presses her lips together as she debates if she should reveal who she really is to this kid. If she's wrong about him it could put her family in danger, and knowing her cousin Ben he'd probably be an easy catch because the guy has a 'cool suit'.

Ben cringed at that and looked away, embarrassed as he realized he'd misread what she'd said. "Right. Sorry. That was really stupid."

As he tried to come up with something to say that wouldn't involve shoving his foot farther down his throat, the watch's face suddenly started flashing yellow, and it started screeching.

"I'm sorry I ever said you had bad timing," he muttered under his breath to the watch as he lifted it up.

Gwen's eyes go wide behind her mask and she leans over to look at the watch. It sure is loud for a superhero accoutrement. Of course maybe it wasn't meant for superhero work, maybe it was meant for something else. "Why's it doing that?"

"Not sure. I mean, it almost never goes yellow," Be said, fiddling with the dial in hopes of getting the device to shut up.

A beam of yellow light shot out and swept over Lucky Girl, the watch humming away before it finally stopped its scan and turned green again. The face flashed as Ben's own voice came from hidden speakers: "DNA sample acquired."

"...Oh, right. That's what it does." Ben put a palm to his forehead. "Really, watch? First a dog, and now Lucky Girl. What's next?"

Part of Gwen wanted to strangle Ben. He actually forgot that the watch scanned people's DNA? "You really need to figure out that thing." It could be an amazing asset or it could be a great liability.

Give him a break. It'd only done that once before.

"Unfortunately, it didn't exactly come with a manual," Ben groused, glaring at the watch. "Otherwise I'd at least change the voice. Hearing me speak from it is super creepy."

She lets out a sigh, knowing this was probably going to be a really, really bad idea. The fact that she felt this way was betrayed by her tone.

"I might know someone who can tell you more about it."

Grandpa Max wasn't going to be happy that she was bringing a superhero back to the Rust Bucket; and that was if he hadn't already gone out of town (or off planet) for some intergalactic thing.

"Don't know how. I mean, I even went to a boring lecture by some guy from the space center with the watch on full display, and neither he nor his buddies seemed to know even when one of them looked right at it," Ben said with a groan. "You'd think that they'd be the experts on anything that came from outer space. Maybe even have seen...the...symbol..."

His voice trailed off as pieces clicked into place. He wasn't a genius--not by a long shot--but just because he didn't get straight A's at school didn't mean he was dumb.

"You didn't know what the watch was, but you saw the symbol and asked me if I was a plumber," he said, walking through his reasoning aloud, frowning. He held up the watch, pointing at the symbol. "You know what this means, don't you?"

She nods. It wasn't as if she were hiding her knowledge of the Plumbers or anything. "It's the Plumber symbol. They're intergalactic police. The person I want to take you to is one." Somehow she gets the feeling that the reaction she'll get from this guy is 'COOL!'. He just seems like he'd be incredibly interested in Space Cops. It's hard to explain that the Plumbers are more then that though, and she's not going to reveal that the person she's talking about is her own grandpa; not yet at least.

"So I basically grabbed some cop's badge?!" Ben asked, facepalming. "Great. Just how arrested am I gonna be?"

[thesmartone]

She shakes her head. "It's not a plumber's badge. They look a lot different then that. It just has the Plumber symbol on it." She's pretty sure they wouldn't arrest him for having something that literally attached itself to his arm and wouldn't come off. At least Grandpa Max wouldn't.

"Well, there's a relief. I guess."

He looked down at the watch, cradling it in one hand.

"...They're gonna want it back, aren't they?"

[thesmartone]

"I don't know, but I don't think he'd do that. Not without talking to you about it first." She feels bad for the guy. He seems to look at the watch as the only way he can be a superhero. "There are superheros without super powers you know. Look at Batman."

[omnitrixter]

"Yeah. But Batman's smart and has actual skills," Ben said.

And by comparison? Ben...wasn't. He'd never make it as a powerless superhero.

[thesmartone]

"Then I'll train you." It comes out without even thinking. She feels so bad for the guy. "But I don't think it's going to come to that. This guy isn't like that."

"...You'd really train me?"

Being trained by Lucky Girl? He'd like that. A lot.

She frowns a little. "Well, it'd be kind of my fault of you lost your watch." Seriously, if the Plumbers actually take thew watch back she's going to feel really bad about it, but Ben needs answers rather then just fiddling with what could be dangerous alien tech.

Ben held on to the watch, the device chirping a bit and flashing. It'd really been just him and it for two months. He didn't want to let it go.

Well, if they tried to take the watch, maybe he could use it and escape.

Though stealing from space cops? Man, that probably wasn't a smart move.

"...Okay. Let's go see him."

[thesmartone]

She pushes off the rooftop to a standing position and creates mana stairs to the street. "I'm warning you though, he's kind of weird." She bites her lower lip a little before finally admitting the truth. "He's my grandpa." She loves her grandpa more then anyone in the world, but really, people need to be prepared for the man, especially when they're expecting 'space cop' and are confronted by a harmless looking man in a Hawaiian shirt.

Ben paused before stepping onto the mana stairs (way cool!) and started walking down them.

"So if you're part...um...Andalite and your grandma is the one you got your powers from, that means your grandpa's still human, right?"

[thesmartone]

"Anadite." She corrects, carefully making her way down the stairs. "And yeah, my grandpa is human. He's kinda weird though; you might not want to eat anything he offers. They're pretty crazy." She says it with an affectionate smirk.

Ben smirked. "Kinda sounds like my grandpa. He's the kinda guy who'll serve you mealworms for breakfast."

[thesmartone]

That makes her laugh. "I think Grandpa Max tried that once." She didn't even realise she'd let Grandpa Max's name slip, but he would have had to learn his name eventually.

Ben froze. "Your grandpa's name is 'Max'?"

No. No, it couldn't be...
