Test Drive Meme - June 2014

Thinking of joining The Omegafriends, but want to get a feel for things first? Need some threads for your application sample? You’ve come to the right place! Reply with your character down below, with at least one of the provided prompts to get things going. Then, go around to other people and tag them! Have threads! Have fun!
If you’re not sure what this game is about, look here or here! If you want to lay down a reserve, go here! For anything else, look here!
We will be putting up a new Test Drive on the 15th of every month.
Prompts
1. Venture City in Peril! Dr. Devious’s army of Deviobots are ransacking the city! It’s up to you, the Omegafriends, to save the day - but you’ll need to work together to repel this sinister threat.
2. A Hero is Born! What started as an ordinary day was thrown into chaos as your newfound superpowers began to suddenly awaken! What perilous problems and zany antics will this bring about? Stay tuned to find out!
3. The Adventure Mundane! It's not all over-the-top heroics here - sometimes, ordinary day-to-day life can be just as much trouble! On the trail of a story for the Daily Venture? Frantic last-minute studying for tomorrow's math test? Harassing people to sign petitions on street corners? Hitting the arcade to destroy simulated villains instead of real ones? The sky's the limit!
4. Welcome to the Omegabase! The super-secret underground Omegabase has it all - training centers, VR simulators, free snack machines, but most important is a whole lot of Supers! Take a minute to kick back and get to know your fellow heroes.
5. The Mighty Showdown! In the life of a Super, good and evil are always clashing in battle. Today, you’ve come face to face with one of the many supervillains threatening the future of Venture City! Who will rise and who will fall? Next issue: The shocking answer!
6. Wild Card! Got an idea for a thread or prompt that isn’t one of those? Make up your own! We won’t stop you.

"They might be kids, but at their age I could still get through something like this with my arms tied behind my back and my eyes closed." Sure, that was completely ignoring the fact that he could survive being impaled, set on fire, impaled, being flung from a skyscraper, being impaled, being completely frozen. And, oh, being impaled.
"But yes. I am completely serious. I have to make this fun for me somehow."
no subject
"I don't think that they possess unlimited healing like you do." Yup, he just has to point that out. He also just smirks a little.
"And how will it be fun for you?"
no subject
"Even if they don't, there's bound to be a few people in this place with healing powers. Just have them on the side if anything goes wrong and they'll be good with almost anything." Sure, the keyword in there was 'almost', but that wasn't that big of a detail.
Besides, if he wasn't mocking something that'd normally be easy for him to take care of, he wouldn't be him.
"Well, for starters, it'd make me actually have to, you know, try." Without his sword, gun, or the magical demon powers that weren't always active for him, he'd have to actually work to avoid getting through this. No more getting hit by a massive fist or something just so he can jump off a wall. Or whatever equivalent to that would happen here. "And second, I have someone else I'd be competing against. If it's not heavily lopsided, that makes it fun by default."
no subject
"I haven't seen any." At least, he hadn't found anyone that would heal him. Not that Cloud needed one of them, since he had all the markings of a super-soldier gone haywire and was really hard to damage. He really didn't want to know why - the idea of being already fused with alien DNA and some kind of magic water really wasn't conductive to him wondering what was else in that SOLDIER serum.
Cloud looked at the obstacle course and then looked at Dante. It looked standard which meant that he could probably go through at a decent pace. Like Dante, he thought it was a little too easy, but he could keep from showing off. "It might be fun against someone."
no subject
"Glad to hear that you actually know what fun is," Dante said, lips curled into his trademarked smirk. "I was beginning to think you didn't know the meaning of the word. But before we start, name's Dante. What should I call you?" He paused. "I mean, 'Spikey' might describe how your hair looks, but somehow I don't think that's a name that you actually go by."
no subject
What can Cloud say? He was a bit of a grump these past few years.
"Dante, huh?" Great, the dreaded name question. Cloud was use to his name being a bit, well, weird, but he still didn't like the first introductions. "Most people do call me Spikey... I'm Cloud."
no subject
"Cloud. Bit of a weird name," Dante said. "Of course, in this day and age, I'm not really one to talk either. My mom was a big fan of the Divine Comedy, at least as far as I can tell."
He paused for a moment, before shrugging. "Anyway. Enough talk for now. Let's get this started and show these kids how it's really done."
no subject
"What are you buying me when you lose?" After all, if they were going to make this a contest of any sort, maybe there should be some kind of reward at the end of it, right?
no subject
Though at least he could get behind the whole wager. It'd make things more fun, to start with. "How about dinner? I'd offer a couple of rounds of drinks, but apparently the whole 'superhero' thing involves actually being a good role model for kids. And, you know, not going to bars."
Probably would've been solvable if Dante actually did the whole superhero getup thing, but oh well. Too late to change his style now.
