Test Drive Meme - June 2014

Thinking of joining The Omegafriends, but want to get a feel for things first? Need some threads for your application sample? You’ve come to the right place! Reply with your character down below, with at least one of the provided prompts to get things going. Then, go around to other people and tag them! Have threads! Have fun!
If you’re not sure what this game is about, look here or here! If you want to lay down a reserve, go here! For anything else, look here!
We will be putting up a new Test Drive on the 15th of every month.
Prompts
1. Venture City in Peril! Dr. Devious’s army of Deviobots are ransacking the city! It’s up to you, the Omegafriends, to save the day - but you’ll need to work together to repel this sinister threat.
2. A Hero is Born! What started as an ordinary day was thrown into chaos as your newfound superpowers began to suddenly awaken! What perilous problems and zany antics will this bring about? Stay tuned to find out!
3. The Adventure Mundane! It's not all over-the-top heroics here - sometimes, ordinary day-to-day life can be just as much trouble! On the trail of a story for the Daily Venture? Frantic last-minute studying for tomorrow's math test? Harassing people to sign petitions on street corners? Hitting the arcade to destroy simulated villains instead of real ones? The sky's the limit!
4. Welcome to the Omegabase! The super-secret underground Omegabase has it all - training centers, VR simulators, free snack machines, but most important is a whole lot of Supers! Take a minute to kick back and get to know your fellow heroes.
5. The Mighty Showdown! In the life of a Super, good and evil are always clashing in battle. Today, you’ve come face to face with one of the many supervillains threatening the future of Venture City! Who will rise and who will fall? Next issue: The shocking answer!
6. Wild Card! Got an idea for a thread or prompt that isn’t one of those? Make up your own! We won’t stop you.
Signum | Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha | Goddammit Chris
[There's a group of supervillains running around town that are a bit unusual. No demands, no public presence, no real known goals or connections to anyone. They're doing something weird to apparently random citizens that leaves them hospitalized and have likewise fought off a few individual heroes using powerful but archaic weaponry.]
[That's why THE OMEGAFRIENDS have come up with a plan to attack the quartet separately by dividing them up and hopefully drawing out their leader. Your mission, should you choose to tag this, is to take out the one who's been lured to a city park tonight. It was supposed to be an ambush, but unless you have stealth powers, the pink-haired, ponytailed woman in the weird armored coat seems prepared for your arrival.]
Damn. We've gotten your attention now, I see. Did you have any demands, or do you want to just get straight to it?
[She's already drawn her sword, for her part.]

[Alternatively, there's a rather distinct-looking woman in a perfectly normal outfit doing some grocery shopping at the local whole foods market. She has quite the collection going in her cart, and is looking worriedly at a handwritten list in the neat cursive of a young child.]
What on Earth is a daikon...?

[Today is another normal day in Venture City, which of course means the city is being attacked by something that looks like a dragon straight out of a fantasy novel, clearly conjured up by some swords-and-sorcery-themed supervillain. As civilians run in terror from the flames raining from the sky, a superhero flies to the rescue!]
[No, wait, it's the weird pink lady who's been mugging people. She's attacking the monster with a drive normally reserved for the noblest of superheroes, though. What's she after?]
[Well, no matter what her reason, she's protecting people, so it's probably best to take the help you can get, right?]
Re: Signum | Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha | Goddammit Chris
I only wish to know this.
What are you doing, striking at so many innocents?
no subject
[Signum turns to face the heroine. She vaguely recognizes her, but it's not as if she's one of the famous ones.]
It's none of your business, but I do appreciate the thought.
no subject
I wonder if your friends will say the same thing, once they're arrested.
[The girl's unarmed, in spite of what the icon may say. But she has a hand raised - and not in a martial stance.]
Please surrender.
[Hopefully Signum couldn't tell just how much Lori didn't want to actually fight if she could avoid it - she knew for a fact she was outclassed, and just trying to buy time until someone else could jump in.
Fortunately, she had at least a few options there.]
no subject
[She looks the junior superhero over.]
I don't mean to be arrogant, but I hope you're not the only one they sent to catch me, or this is going to be a bit embarrassing.
no subject
Of course, she was alone... For the moment. And outclassed. But she just needed to buy enough time, and preferably soften this problem up.]

Oh well. At least he was actually allowed to kill Dragons. Much better than having to deal with... wait. Wasn't that woman one of those 'knights' who've been going around mugging people?
Looks like he was going to have even more headaches to deal with than he was expecting.
When the woman lands, Dante takes the opportunity to fire two magical blasts from his guns at the lizard as he approached. Rebellion was strapped to his back, but it's not like he could do much with the sword from all the way over here. ]
It's not really like you to play the hero. [ More magical blasts, though the dragon doesn't seem to be too phased by them. ]
What did this thing do to you? Eat the magical doodad that you need to blow up the world, find the ancient treasure, or whatever else it is you have planned that I don't care about?
no subject
[She's not going to answer your question, Dante, but she won't say no to the ranged support, either. While the dragon is distracted by the magical blasts (since when can bullets hurt?! it thinks), Signum takes the opportunity to make a leaping charge at the dragon's torso, hacking away and looking for a weak point.]
no subject
[ Though with the way that the dragon seems to be causing havoc and at the same time not being fun to fight at all, that was a sentiment that he agreed with. Even as he kept moving and blasting the dragon with his guns, that red energy slamming into its body, this wasn't anything even remotely challenging for him.
So of course, the dragon decides to ignore Signum entirely for now and spew fire over at Dante instead. He does manage to jump away at the last second-
-and by jump away, Dante landed right on top of the thing's head, quickly firing both guns into the creature's face. ]
If you have any idea of how to kill this thing, by all means, hurry up already. I'd prefer to not be stuck with the bill for everything Mushu here burns.
no subject
[Signum gives up on attacking its torso for the moment and flies straight up to smash a gauntleted fist into the dragon's jaw, focusing damage on its head. Between ignoring gravity and general super-strength, she at least makes it flinch and stop breathing fire and seriously reconsider the state of its face.]
no subject
[ At least, it was how he stopped things like that, anyway. But the guns weren't doing much at all... and Dante needs to jump again, landing on the dragon's back. He quickly holsters his guns, and pries the Rebellion off of his back.
If magic demon guns didn't work, why not magic demon sword? Dante goes to stab at the creature between its wings, but stops suddenly. ]
So, if you're not trying to kill this thing, what are you trying to do?

...Ah, hell. It's Chrono, and he's finally narrowed down the suspects to just you. The Bureau, by which I mean just him, has been combing this town for some time with the assistance of the Omegafriends, and now... now it's all coming to fruition.]
The only demand is that you surrender. By my authority as an officer of the Time-Space Administration Bureau, you are under arrest for multiple counts of assault with hostile magic, and will be further questioned in connection with attempted dimensional instabilities in this area. Lay down your weapon and dispel your magic, and you will be granted a fair trial.
[With a completely straight face and no fear. Damn, this kid's confident, if nothing else. That or terrifyingly duty-bound.]
no subject
That's a nice offer, but I don't have any more time for the Bureau's legal proceedings than the local ones.
[She turns to face the kid.]
If it makes you feel better, we'll be moving on now that you've found us. Our work can be done almost anywhere; this planet was simply convenient.
[That's half a truth, at least.]
no subject
[He has a hunch. Perhaps not all the information - they'd left the ferret with the answers behind again - but enough to know he's barking up the right tree.]
We don't have to do this. I can't let you walk away, and I'll meet force with force. But there has to be a better way.
no subject
Well, I was planning to be more generous, but if you're going to insist, I'm sure you'll be worth a page or two when I'm done with you.
[She squares up with him and holds her sword in a ready stance.]
And no.
There doesn't have to be.

[After a month on the Moon, Jebediah is back and craving fresh food. Lunar Jetlag is pretty bad though, so there's little chance of him connecting the distinctness of this woman to anyone else as he loads up on...all the produce basically.]
no subject
[Spaceman, meet alien. Possibly. I haven't decided yet.]
no subject
[Jeb doesn't care for cheater aliens who cheat by teleporting places.]
