Yup. Ben and Kevin are from the same source series. They were friends-turned-enemies back when they were kids in canon. We decided to keep that because feels.

Even if Kev doesn't heed your call for a minion, Ben really needs a wake-up call on how bad the bad guys can be.

Yeah, Skeletor can totally be a wake-up call as far as what real evil is. He's pretty much irredeemably evil and treacherous all the way through.
