[ Joachim does a double take as he walks by, and proceeds to swiftly dive into the bushes for a hasty change into Grand Papillon. He emerges in order to enact an equally hasty acrobatic maneuver so he can yell at Westar from atop the nearby park fountain. ]

Hold it right there, villain! Whatever fiendish felonies you're fixing to stage, you'll find it no easy task when faced with my rippling muscles!

[ ...Shoot, what is he up to, anyway? It occurs to Joachim that he may have jumped the gun somewhat. But come on, it's Westar, that guy's always up to no good. ]

[He's swinging that cue-sword around, shifting the grip in his hands, and now it's a rifle. There's a glance at the fire crawling up the other's arm, but he's not yet concerned about that.]

[Holding up a convenience store was as routine a chore to Kevin as going to the laundromat. Whenever he needed some extra pocket change, a nearby 7-11 was always ready to deliver, whether they wanted to or not.

So as he ransacked the place and held the clerk up at laser-deathray point, he heard a shuffling behind him as someone started collecting... something off the shelves. Kevin turned, staring at the newcomer in bewilderment. Piggybacking, indeed.]

[It may take teamwork to defeat the Deviobots, but the Red Huntress* works alone. 'Alone' doesn't seem to be working too well, though--despite her fancy hoverboard and advanced weaponry, she's in the middle of a circle of Deviobots closing in on her, and she only has two hands to shoot with. Plus, she's already in bad shape, covered in scratches with tears in her suit here and there. No matter, she plans to go down fighting if she has to.

Are you another baddie who wants to take advantage of this moment and make things even worse for her? Or are you a super who wants to step in and help the most independent hero in the city?

[When she shows up to school the next day, she's scratched, bandaged, limping, and gingerly carrying a smoking backpack over her shoulder. Every bone in her body aches, but what can she do?

When she slowly takes a seat at a desk for her first period class, she starts pulling out books while mumbling under her breath.]

Stupid robots, stupid Dr. Devious! Stupid supervillains, stupid Venture City...!

[Eh, Parley's room isn't that different to be perfectly honest. She has more video games and less cute things.]

[Kevin's a delinquent and a truant. Him showing up for class would be a cause for celebration, if anyone in the world gave a shit about him. Today's one of those special days, it seems; One of the popular kids who was part of the group that liked to pick on him through the years showed up looking like hell. She's sitting right next to him. He smirks, leaning his elbow on the desk, resting his chin in his palm as he smirks at her.]

You party too hard last night, or is the bandaged-up mummy look "in" this season?

Whether you started the fire, are planning on helping put it out, or actually a victim trapped inside the building, you're in a position to see what happens next: An overweight man in a black sweater and wearing a ski mask explodes through a wall with four people stacked up on his shoulders. Clearly this fellow has super strength, but he doesn't LOOK like a sueprhero. To be honest, he looks more like he's about to go rob a convenience store. He freezes when he sees you.]

"Relief" being only a split-second moment, as when he does hear that voice again? He nearly chokes and stumbles back.]

Wha- ?! [Yeah, his boiling point? It's completely shooting beyond right now.] WHO CARES?! YOU'RE ANNOYING, JUST GO AWAY!!

[She glances over at him, surprised that someone is talking to her at all. But as soon as she sees where this is going, her look of surprise fades to a frown of annoyance.]

Great, even the school delinquent thinks it's okay to butt into my business.

[The scene of Lady Blue's latest heist once contained a priceless work of art known as "The MacGuffin". Now it contains an empty pedastal smeared with blue paint, and a map of Venture Park.

Vimes is puffing on his cigarette and staring at the crime scene from just outside the police tape.]

[Misunderstandings between masked vigilantes and the police are common enough. In this case, you, the masked vigilante, are currently hiding out in an old warehouse. You are suspected of various horrible misdeeds, either because of a misunderstanding, because you were framed, or because you actually did them. What, little old me? Maybe I'm skipping school to go work at the soup kitchen. At least I got the good sense not to get in a fight with a pair of scissors or whatever on a school night. Or ever.

[Jotaro's not one to usually talk to anyone he's not familiar with, much less even try to socialize. But boy, does he ever share that sentiment when he hears her.]

Troublesome, right? [sighs] It's like we can't even catch a break around here. What a pain!

[Yeah. A building on fire was definitely a big problem, even for a wizard. Sure, he had plenty of tricks that could do something about it... but none that he was willing to use while he was still unsure if there were people inside and where they are. A "put out fire" spell just didn't exist. All that heat and energy had to go somewhere and once wrong move could send it right to some poor bystander's hiding spot.

However, that soon stops being an immediate problem as that wall suddenly explodes outward. Harry raises an arm to cover his face, backing up a few steps and blinking when he lowers it. Wait a second, he knows that "citizens."]

... B- uh... Incredible?

[This is the most devastated gasp you have ever heard in your life. Immediately, when Val realizes someone has just materialized in her room, she dives for her bed, where a bunch of small guns are scattered on her messy sheets. She grabs the first gun she can and ducks behind the bed for cover, pointing the gun directly at the trespasser with her finger on the trigger.]

You've got five seconds to tell me who you are and what you're...

[She stops crouching and drops the gun on the bed.]

George?!

Oh, please, like you're so much better than I am. If you're working at the soup kitchen, then I'm helping out at the animal shelter.

[Alright, this time he's pretty sure he's seen everything and considering who he is, that's saying something.

No time to focus too much on that though, as a gang of 'bots come rushing at him but it does give him an idea. Focusing in on a gang of marching robots, he raises a hand toward them and hisses out a word.]

Malivaso!

[One of the Deviobots freezes in its tracks, and its head twitches once or twice and then it lets out a robotic screech and its head starts spinning around... and firing a beam of energy from its own eyes that melts the heads off the bots around it. And then its head explodes as well.]

Heh. I love robots.

[Bob deflates a bit, but then shakes his head.]

I think I've got everyone who was stuck upstairs. We've got to get them outside before this whole place collapses!

1. You'll never get away with this!
   
   Some dastardly thug has blown past the highest security and is robbing Phlebotinum Labs! He's after their supply of the rarest element, Wonderflonium, which could be used for any number of wicked schemes! Surely there's a hero who can stop him?
   
   
   
2. Henchman reporting for duty!
   
   Maybe the heroes prevented him from stealing the Wonderflonium. Maybe the hostages got away. Maybe Kevin couldn't even crack the security codes at the Bank. Whatever the occasion, the plan failed -- a foolproof plan, and your idiot lackey Kevin managed to screw it up. Time for stern talking to.
   
   
   
3. At school the next day!
   
   It looks like noted delinquent Kevin Levin actually decided to show up for school today. Who knows why? Kevin looks almost as bad as you feel. But unlike you, he wasn't spending all night fighting an epic battle at the laboratory for the fate of the Wonderflonium... right? Either way, he's looking angry and tired and on the prowl for a good fight to displace his aggression.

[She wants to chew him out for having the gall to talk about 'what a pain' it is to her face like that, to the face of the Red Huntress herself, the girl who sacrifices herself and gets heavily injured every night in the name of the city's safety. What could he possibly know about what a pain this is?

But she can't--and that takes the wind out of her sails. She deflates, anger dissipating into exhaustion.]

I just wish catching them once and putting them away meant that they're put away.
