We will be putting up a new Test Drive on the 15th of every month.
Prompts
1. Venture City in Peril! Dr. Devious’s army of Deviobots are ransacking the city! No, wait, Baron Von Tyrannosaur is back with another dinosaur army! No, wait, it's... really, ther's a lot of different ways a city can be imperiled. However, no matter the threat, it’s up to you, the Omegafriends, to save the day - but you’ll need to work together to repel the forces of evil.
2. A Hero is Born! What started as an ordinary day was thrown into chaos as your newfound superpowers began to suddenly awaken! What perilous problems and zany antics will this bring about? Stay tuned to find out!
3. The Adventure Mundane! It's not all over-the-top heroics here - sometimes, ordinary day-to-day life can be just as much trouble! On the trail of a story for the Daily Venture? Frantic last-minute studying for tomorrow's math test? Harassing people to sign petitions on street corners? Hitting the arcade to destroy simulated villains instead of real ones? The sky's the limit!
4. Welcome to the Omegabase! The super-secret underground Omegabase has it all - training centers, VR simulators, free snack machines, but most important is a whole lot of Supers! Take a minute to kick back and get to know your fellow heroes.
5. The Mighty Showdown! In the life of a Super, good and evil are always clashing in battle. Today, you’ve come face to face with one of the many supervillains threatening the future of Venture City! Who will rise and who will fall? Next issue: The shocking answer!
6. Time Warp! Chasing after Lady Blue's latest heist has left you temporarily stranded, along with your fellow heroes, in another era. Where and when have you gone, and how will you cope with the bizarre situation?
7. Wild Card! Got an idea for a thread or prompt that isn’t one of those? Make up your own! We won’t stop you.
The Electric Current: Spark and Zapps | OC
A source of no less than great frustration for Spark is that removing Zapps was nearly impossible. She required not much to live, but unfortunately Earth was missing one of those things. Pressure. Oh it had some, but it didn't have enough. But didn't stop her from putting Zapps into as subdued form as possible and going out to the market. She seemed to mostly favor bakeries and sea food stores, as if there was some significance to these. Maybe just the cuisine there was most familiar to her? Still watching someone blunder about in a robot suit and trying to haggle over fish from a supermarket like that was a common occurrence might draw some eyes.
5-Getting in is the Easy Part
Just cause she was several hundred light years from home wasn't going to stop her from being a hero. Even if that meant diving headlong into a villain's hide out with a heavy smash from Zapps. Of course this was a great way to get ambushed, but she was hoping she would get the advantage of surprise with her daring.
Of course she might have missed and landed in your living room too.
4-Alien Hero Meet and Greet
Spark found Earth absolutely fascinating, and she didn't speak like the woman from Werewolf either. Of course she took the first opportunity offered to join the Omegafriends. She was here to stop bad guys and she knew it was easier with a team. Of course she needed to figure her way around this place. Thankfully Zapps was mapping every square inch she explored. Not like she could go anywhere on Earth without him. Her definitely most awesome robot suit AI.
3;
"How utterly fascinating," he mutters under his breath.

Spark comes over and then looks up again, much to the dismay of whatever the eye was on that band. The suit itself has more normal eyes on it as well. Blue glowy though. Rest of the armor was mostly white. "Hi. Need something?" She asked, trying to downplay walking around with a robotic suit on.
The need to make a pressure suit other than Zapps rising.
no subject
He brought his eyes up first to the independent one that spun toward him before the head, then down to the glowing blue ones and back up, shifting between them uncertainly with a wide smile on his face.
"Not at all, I'm just admiring the-- craftsmanship, would you call?" He almost reached out again to touch it, but folded his fingers until he balled his hand into a fist, pressing his knuckles into the side of his face to quell the urge.
no subject
As for their reference, honestly Spark knew that childish excitement in the face of high technology all to well. Imagine her glee in making this suit? That was basically the same as his expression. She had a different expression of course, given a different face, but she had enough knowledge to recognize it. "Thank you! I made it myself, though Zapps helped on the specs and materials. That's what I named the AI onboard." She taps the eye visor above her eyes. He made a sound that sounded like a deflated sigh.
no subject
"Did you create the AI as well?" The question was arbitrary, asked as his eyes moved from segment to segment of the armor, to Spark, to Zapps, back around. He couldn't quite decide what he wanted to look at, so he continued to look at everything.
no subject
"I crash landed on her planet. Though my function is to act as the AI for a suit like this, why I helped her create this. Also I fear if I let her create an autonomous body, she would have made me her plucky robot side kick," he stated, half teasing and half grimly.
"Oh, don't complain Zapps," She said before offering a hand over to him. "So what's your name?"
no subject
And, you know. He had an alarming information boner, and this was certainly something new to learn about.
He chuckled at Zapps' sense of humor, recoiling his hand and smoothing his thumb and forefinger just below his lower lip in thought, trying to discern where best to look when speaking to the AI. There were at least two sets of eyes on the suit, even if one was just a single eye, and he didn't want to persistently avoid eye contact when speaking or listening to someone (something?), even an artificial intelligence. He nearly counted as one himself, really.
He zeroed in on Spark's hand and blinked at it for a moment before reaching out to shake it, chuckling again in a somewhat more sheepish manner. He did tend to forget the basics of social interaction nearly every time he found himself facing it, now didn't he.
"Philip," he said simply, nodding his head forward in a slight bow.
no subject
"He's pretty observant about stuff most people would miss, I find. Kind of frustrating though when you're trying to lie to him. Oh well! What's the suggestion you have? I am looking for work other than hero stuff her to be honest, need to make some extra money but don't want to unnaturally advance tech here either," She said. She shook her head and chuckled some.

Except maybe that young(?) woman in the odd cloak, except she looks a little too clean to be living in such a run down place.
"Oh, hey, nice. I've always wanted to be almost crushed out of nowhere by a suit of armor."
The sarcasm is dripping from this one.
no subject
A masculine one added in, "She tends to charge ahead when she thinks she's right."
no subject
The cloaked person totally hadn't been just finishing up moving stolen goods out of the run down place. Totally not.
no subject
"Or fence. Exact details are spotty. Actually, if you live here, you should have further data to continue the investigation. Can we inquire?" the masculine of the two, Zapps, asked.
"Why do you always use the biggest words possible?"
"I didn't notice I was doing so."
"Also adding unnecessary reiterations."
"Now you're doing it!"
"Haha."

I hope I'm not wrong in assuming that they appear as one entity right now except for the voices? ^^;
"Well, you know, just the whole thing with arguing with yourself makes you look a little insane, so... can you really blame me?"
Just see the Suit indeed.
"And I am the suit," Zapps chipped in.

Still, one could spot that some of the crates had been broken open, their content spilling on the floor. Jewelry, coins and other treasures were glittering in the sparse light: Clearly, whoever was using this place had pulled a number of heists.
In fact, a woman in a dark dress was currently sifting through the treasure...
"Oh dear..." The woman muttered as she spotted the arrival, then raised her voice. "I assure you, it's not what it looks like!"

"You can't truly beliee that someone such as I would bog themselves down with a substandard lair like this? I'm merely... inspecting it."
She placed a golden chalice to the side carefully as she said so.
Why did people always have to come and disturb her when she was trying to make a part of the loot disappear for her own ends?! Curse those meddlesome heroes - even when, technically, she was one of those herself, nowadays!
no subject
"Well, if you're admitting you're a bad guy, this doesn't matter if its your lair or not! Let's fight!" She stated, thrusting back up and thrusting towards Himiko at high velocity with an energy backed first flying over at her.
no subject
My, the people of this day and age were rash!
Considering that punches were really not appreciated, she immediately dove to the side...
Both towards the left AND towards the right, herself heading left, and a created shadow double moving right. That should confuse the hostile hero somewhat, so she could set up something to bind said hero!

In the last possible moment, she managed to find a shadow to solidify, creating a shadow crate which blocked that attack on her. That hero REALLY wanted her, huh?!
"What do you hero types always have against me! Priests, dagger users and now some weirdo of a knight?! And all I wanted was some well deserved quiet..."
While saying so, she blasted several crackling bolts of pure darkness towards her for. Gee, that one was probably a 'tough cookie', as they'd said in this era. She really didn't like the look of those shots, too.
She wanted rest, not getting shocked into unconsciousness!
no subject
Did still push her back some as the weight still didn't stop the need to slide back to vaporize it. There was clicking from them as she released a lot of steam for a few moments. She dropped her hands down now, with teh armor up now.
"I am not a knight. Though if you're willing to give yourself up, I can promise plenty of quiet. In your sigiled cell," She stated. She then directed the arm upwards now. "ROCKET BARRAGE!" Which prompted the armor to spring out a number of rocket pods. They didn't fly at her though, but instead heading upwards to blast open the ceiling.

Hope it was fine like this, combat scenes are difficult!
Yeah. Reigning in the powers is my main problem.
I know that problem well. Sillypowers. Flower power might be more suitable for me!
