CITIZENS OF VENTURE CITY!

[To anyone tuning in to the radio... actually, make that -if- anyone is at all tuning in to the radio, because who listens to those anymore... it would become clear that the regular host has a loud new stand-in today. Dr. Nefarious hijacked the K-UTT station to make a very special announcement.]

Ten years, and none of you filthy organic lifeforms have gotten the least bit smarter! You should know that you squishies brought this upon yourselves...

As per Plan Evil Revelations, I've sent a text to every smartphone with proof from the trademark office that I'm the original Dr. Nefarious! I COINED the whole "Doctor plus Adjective-For-Being-Evil" schtick!

And speaking of, you can just forget about that completely unoriginal Dr. Devious, because from this day forward, Venture City will face a new brand of evil... one that is simultaneously vintage! MUHUHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAH!!

That's why I hijacked an oldies station and a modern medium for communication...

["Clear as day, sir," says a dry voice from the background.

I know, I heard! You make hostages out of the regular crew and give an evil proclamation and people still call in because they have an "opinion".

[He quotes the word with his fingers too.]

The only thing I'm trying to sell here is this city's doom, dear listener! ... and also, have you ever introduced yourself, only to be asked, "which one"? It gets VERY ANNOYING!!

Actually, I have. It does get annoying, especially when you are just in the middle of a good speech.

[ this is actually not a delay tactic. it's what happens when you jump from one dimension to another one. ]

So, what are you going to do besides tell us you are the original evil robot guy?

Listen, I just proved that if I wanted to, I can hack my way into the phone companies' servers and steal everyone's private phone numbers. But if you preferred, I could just drop in a terrifying giant monster, somewhere.

That's not too hard to do. The phones are quaint in their simplicity.

A terrifying monster might get more people's attention than a text message. I wouldn't be surprised if most people thought it was spam.
