It's that old cliche. Walking through the halls with his attention set entirely on the weathered book in his hands, he doesn't notice as his path crosses a little too closely with hers, and he bumps her.

"Oh! Pardo-" He glances up from his text, mouth hanging open.

"P-pardon me! Sorry!"

How on earth did he not notice her? That armor is huge! If it even is armor, she could be a robot... And then he realizes he's been staring the entire time he's been thinking.

Well, that's a cliche because it happens. Samus almost barreled through Simon not noticing him. The tactile response in the suit was mostly in her feet and hands, not in her torso. For various reasons. But she sees him and seems slightly annoyed at first. A green visor looks down at her before shaking her head. Clearly he was more impressed than anything.

She reaches over and brushes off a little dust on his shoulders. "I sometimes forget how tall I am," Samus Said. She had an odd accent. Didn't sound like anything human. But then again Simon had his own distinct dictation. Though her lack of manners rears its head again as she uses her hand to try push around his book to see its title.

"I-it's alright, it was my fault."

He allows her to do so, still a little flustered. The book is titled 'Basic Magic for Dummies', and it looks like it's had some usage over the years.

"I just found it in the library back there.."

Magic was something she had some experience with. The Bryyo had used some form of magic when she encountered them, though it was hard to tell what was magic and what was science given the decay of the planet. "What sort of magic are you studying?" She asked.

"Oh, anything and everything at this point... particularly methods for control. I specialize in ice magic, though I'm not much good at it yet!", he says with a weak laugh.

"I'm the Ice King, but you can call me Simon."
