Still, this might be a bit much, so she offers plainly as she walks:]

If you've already gone over them, it probably shouldn't be hard enough to point you in the direction of what you'll actually need.

[Those are the best kind of lies. The ones that make sense.

She glances toward Yuri at her offer, considering for a moment before walking alongside her.]

That... might be helpful.

[Even as fast as she reads... that's a long list.]

[Quite long, and quite unnecessary. Pursuit of knowledge is great and all, but efficiency is just as important.

She shakes the list, then her head, and hands it back.]

Unless you want to spend all of your time doing nothing but studying.

[Granted - Yuri wouldn't terribly complain about this, herself. She at least recognizes she is not most people, however.]

It wouldn't be a problem.

[She takes the list back, shrugging a shoulder.]

It's how I spend most of my spare time these days anyway.

[That and training, but she can't really talk about that in a civilian environment. Still, at the moment her social life is... well, not.]

[A slight blink, and she looks back, though her expression remains as even as ever.]

Well. In that case, it's good to have a new student that can appreciate that sort of thing, I suppose.

[The duel of the even looks, apparently. Blake gives Yuri a sidelong glance, quirking one eyebrow just slightly.]

Well, that's something of a relief. I was starting to worry that if I saw one more of those vampire teen romance novels I was going to scream.

[Yuri almost - almost - gives an undignified snort, but refrains because she is dignified, thank you very much.]

I think if I saw something like that on your reading list I wouldn't even be bothering.

[Everyone here is absolutely dignified, of course.]

I usually believe in giving anything a chance... but that isn't a mistake I'll ever make again.

[A small, faint smile appears on her face for an instant and she pauses as if in thought.]

.. I'm Blake, by the way. Blake Belladonna.

[Yuri casts what is either a suspicious or disappointed look at the "again." On the one hand, she hopes she's just talking about terrible literature - on the other hand, if its some particular terrible literature, Blake you should have known better.]

Yuri Tsukikage. [The returned name is delivered a bit curtly, but she slows down as they near the library.] I'm sort of getting the feeling you'll know your way around inside here, at the very least.

[Well, it's a good thing that's another answer she's not going to offer up on her own. She was curious about what all the fuss was, that's all.

For whatever it's worth, it's currently being used as an impromptu doorstop.]

I think I can manage. [If Yuri's curt reply bothers her at all, she doesn't show it. Despite it being one of the "points" of her being here, she's not exactly looking to make friends. Everyone else here was human after all. There's no way that was possible anyway.] Thanks.
