Test Drive - August

Thinking of joining The Omegafriends, but want to get a feel for things first? Need some threads for your application sample? You’ve come to the right place! Reply with your character down below, with at least one of the provided prompts to get things going. Then, go around to other people and tag them! Have threads! Have fun!
If you’re not sure what this game is about, look here or here! If you want to lay down a reserve, go here! For anything else, look here!
We will be putting up a new Test Drive on the 15th of every month.
Prompts
1. Venture City in Peril! Dr. Devious’s army of Deviobots are ransacking the city! No, wait, Baron Von Tyrannosaur is back with another dinosaur army! No, wait, it's... really, ther's a lot of different ways a city can be imperiled. However, no matter the threat, it’s up to you, the Omegafriends, to save the day - but you’ll need to work together to repel the forces of evil.
2. A Hero is Born! What started as an ordinary day was thrown into chaos as your newfound superpowers began to suddenly awaken! What perilous problems and zany antics will this bring about? Stay tuned to find out!
3. The Adventure Mundane! It's not all over-the-top heroics here - sometimes, ordinary day-to-day life can be just as much trouble! On the trail of a story for the Daily Venture? Frantic last-minute studying for tomorrow's math test? Harassing people to sign petitions on street corners? Hitting the arcade to destroy simulated villains instead of real ones? The sky's the limit!
4. Welcome to the Omegabase! The super-secret underground Omegabase has it all - training centers, VR simulators, free snack machines, but most important is a whole lot of Supers! Take a minute to kick back and get to know your fellow heroes.
5. The Mighty Showdown! In the life of a Super, good and evil are always clashing in battle. Today, you’ve come face to face with one of the many supervillains threatening the future of Venture City! Who will rise and who will fall? Next issue: The shocking answer!
6. Time Warp! Chasing after Lady Blue's latest heist has left you temporarily stranded, along with your fellow heroes, in another era. Where and when have you gone, and how will you cope with the bizarre situation?
7. Wild Card! Got an idea for a thread or prompt that isn’t one of those? Make up your own! We won’t stop you.

He brought his eyes up first to the independent one that spun toward him before the head, then down to the glowing blue ones and back up, shifting between them uncertainly with a wide smile on his face.
"Not at all, I'm just admiring the-- craftsmanship, would you call?" He almost reached out again to touch it, but folded his fingers until he balled his hand into a fist, pressing his knuckles into the side of his face to quell the urge.

As for their reference, honestly Spark knew that childish excitement in the face of high technology all to well. Imagine her glee in making this suit? That was basically the same as his expression. She had a different expression of course, given a different face, but she had enough knowledge to recognize it. "Thank you! I made it myself, though Zapps helped on the specs and materials. That's what I named the AI onboard." She taps the eye visor above her eyes. He made a sound that sounded like a deflated sigh.

"Did you create the AI as well?" The question was arbitrary, asked as his eyes moved from segment to segment of the armor, to Spark, to Zapps, back around. He couldn't quite decide what he wanted to look at, so he continued to look at everything.

"I crash landed on her planet. Though my function is to act as the AI for a suit like this, why I helped her create this. Also I fear if I let her create an autonomous body, she would have made me her plucky robot side kick," he stated, half teasing and half grimly.
"Oh, don't complain Zapps," She said before offering a hand over to him. "So what's your name?"

And, you know. He had an alarming information boner, and this was certainly something new to learn about.
He chuckled at Zapps' sense of humor, recoiling his hand and smoothing his thumb and forefinger just below his lower lip in thought, trying to discern where best to look when speaking to the AI. There were at least two sets of eyes on the suit, even if one was just a single eye, and he didn't want to persistently avoid eye contact when speaking or listening to someone (something?), even an artificial intelligence. He nearly counted as one himself, really.
He zeroed in on Spark's hand and blinked at it for a moment before reaching out to shake it, chuckling again in a somewhat more sheepish manner. He did tend to forget the basics of social interaction nearly every time he found himself facing it, now didn't he.
"Philip," he said simply, nodding his head forward in a slight bow.

"He's pretty observant about stuff most people would miss, I find. Kind of frustrating though when you're trying to lie to him. Oh well! What's the suggestion you have? I am looking for work other than hero stuff her to be honest, need to make some extra money but don't want to unnaturally advance tech here either," She said. She shook her head and chuckled some.
no subject
"So is it functional?" He gestured, vaguely, toward the singular eye, and then chuckled at Spark. "I know someone like that," he offered mildly, and then raised his hands in something of a passive gesture. "Nothing in particular, though you may see if someone in the OmegaFriends needs tech assistance. I build small-scale gadgets for my own work, personally, but am nothing of the caliber of this. I'm afraid I wouldn't know where to point you for work."

A crooked smile, and he nodded. "I'm certainly not opposed to spending time in the Base. It gets me out of the Agency." Which wasn't something he did on a regular basis.
