Having his blush noticed was embarrassing enough; he figured she'd very quickly get angry with him and throw him out. Preparing to save her the trouble, he made ready to move... only to be taken off guard.

The offer was surprising. But he gave a warmer, genuine sort of smile in response. Perhaps such a smile was rare to her, a simple, earnest affair that thought more of the gesture rather than the value of it. It may seem perplexing, but Adell was not a complicated man.
